Niki’s Raspberry Coconut Cream Smoothie Bowl

Yeah, the coughing and the sneezing is going to be a regular sound you’ll hear everywhere you go pretty soon as flu season begins again. Many of you may already be struggling! 🙅🏼‍♂️ This is why what you put into your body is so important in avoiding/recovering from these annoying viruses!

Some of the best foods to consume if you’re under the weather? Garlic, Coconut Water (I’m not just saying that 😂 – it’s perfect for rehydration), hot tea, ginger, spicy foods (this will definitely clear the sinuses😤), bananas, oats.. you probably know all of this already!
Upping your vitamin C in another method research has pointed to in the past. So, try to include it in most of your meals.. and we’re not just talking oranges here. Red and green peppers, strawberries, blackcurrants, broccoli, brussels sprouts (everyone loves these), potatoes all contain loads of it. Here’s where our smoothie bowl above comes in. It’s loaded with vitamin c and you can always swirl in some coconut cream to counter the tartness of the raspberries. 😍
Finally, a couple of general pointers:
🍵Drink green tea!
🍾Skip the alcohol (where possible)
😴Get enough sleep!
🕺🏼Keep moving and stay active! (Within reason)
🥦Eat green leafy vegetables!
🌈 Add colour to your meals, the more colour, the more antioxidants there will be! (generally 🤷🏼‍♂️)
