A deliciously simple puff pastry sweet treat!
😛 Ingredients:
900g of Puff pastry 3 tbsp of honey 3 tbsp of sugar A scattering of dried rose petals and cornflowers @steenbergsltd 1 tbsp of desiccated coconut and crushed pistachios
👅 Method:
1- Spread the dough on a well floured work surface. 2- Mix the honey with 2 tbsp of water, stir well. 3- Apply the honey mixture on the flattened dough. 4- Cut out the dough in any shape you’d prefer. 5- Place the zabans in a well floured pastry pan. 6- Make a half way cut in the center of each zaban. 7- Sprinkle sugar over the zabans. 8- Preheat the oven to 200ºC and bake the cookies for 7 to 10 minutes (until it doubles in height). 9- Turn the oven down to 170ºC and continue baking for 20 to 25 more minutes (until golden). 10- Remove the zabans from the oven. 11- Apply more of the honey mixture, garnish with dried edible flowers, the desiccated coconut and crushed pistachios and enjoy!
