Moorish…sweet and tart cranberry-orange sauce anyone? Day 2 brings your this easy peasy sauce which takes only 12 minutes to cook…I love the orange flavour here, helps to give another taste sensation to the cranberry sauce, I have it by the spoonful!
All you need is:
Use organic/natural real food ingredients where possible)
Ingredients:
Serves 4-6
• 250g of fresh cranberries, washed
• The juice and zest of two oranges
• Two tablespoons of water
• 2 tablespoons of agave syrup or coconut sugar
Method:
Step 1:
On a medium heat, add your cranberries to your small pan and put the lid on. Leave for around 4 minutes or until the cranberries start to burst and break down into a sauce.
Step 2:
Add your orange juice and zest (saving some for garnish) and mix well with a silicone spatula.
Step 3:
After a couple of minutes, add your chosen sweetener and adjust for taste, add the water and let it simmer down for another 3-5 minutes on a low heat. This sauce will keep in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Happy Baking!
